Brunello at about a third of the price
Laura on 13 Jun 2013
A wonderful piece in this weekend's Guardian about Italy, Tuscany and GWW. Fiona describes our Brusco dei Barbi 2010 as "effectively a cut-price brunello at about a third of the price and ready to drink now," and it is indeed drinking beautifully.
Also recommended is "an attractive mini-supertuscan," the Mazzei family's Badiola 2011, a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot from the vineyards of Castello di Fonterutoli in Chianti Classico.
