Bogle Essential Red

Very vibrant, almost beetroot red in colour. Hugely intense aromas of damson and plum, with bitter chocolate and black cherry. Underlying a wonderful spicy zinfandel character that comes through.

The palate is absolutely packed with red berry fruits, redcurrants and redberries. This has a lighter touch than some of the other Bogle wines, but deliciously lively and moreish with super-soft velvety tannins and zesty-fresh acidity. Incredibly approachable red that is great on it's own, but I can see this going with late summer BBQs and richer pork or lamb dishes. Drink over the next couple of years.
