Process
Single Malt Lowland Scotch Whisky from fragrant malts is aged exclusively in ex-PX Sherry casks. Bladnoch's Master Distiller, Dr Nick Savage, hand-selects each cask to ensure the optimum expression of this classic aged Lowland spirit.
People
In 2015 the distillery was purchased by entrepreneur David Prior, and with Master Distiller, Ian MacMillan, at the helm and significant investment in the distillery facilities. Bladnoch may well be the oldest 'new' Whiskey distillery in Scotland.
Place
Bladnoch’s history dates to 1817 when John and Thomas McClelland were first granted a license to distil on their Bladnoch farm, Dumfries and Galloway - the most southerly distillery in Scotland.
