At 4,265 feet (1,300m), Gualtallary in the Uco Valley is one of Argentina's highest wine-producing areas. The intense sunlight and cool climate work in concert with calcareous soils to produce wines of extraordinary intensity and structure, coupled to vivid fruit and taut acidity. Containing a significant proportion (15%) of Cabernet Franc, blended with Malbec, the aptly-named Expresivo is bright and fresh, with highly distinctive blackberry, pink pepper and violet aromas. It stands out for its stony notes, vibrant acidity, firm tannins and exceptional balance. A fabulous wine, it offers outstanding cellaring potential.

Press Review
95/100 - A ripe, brooding nose with a subtle peppery lift from its deep core of black fruit. Plenty of fine, dusty tannins charged with fresh acidity and rich, concentrated fruit on the full-bodied palate. Long, flavorful but fresh in finish. Malbec and cabernet franc. Fermented in foudres and aged in barrels, both new and old. Drink now or hold.
