Champagne Brut Réserve
Taittinger
Key Flavours
Serve
Its elegance and lightness gives it a flexibility to be the champagne for the moment but it is always excellent as an aperitif.
Process
From the first pressings of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay this is carefully assembled from from up to 25 different 'crus,' with reserve wine added to ensure consistency. Aged 3-4 years prior to release, giving depth and integration.
People
Taittinger is one of the last great Champagne Houses to remain independent, and is family-owned and managed.
Place
The grapes for the Brut Reserve come from the prime chalk vineyards throughout Champagne, with approximately 50% coming from the Taittinger estate.
Winemaking
Grapes hail from over 35 Crus. The wine uses 95% first pressings, includes 30% reserve wines for consistency, and ages in chalk cellars for 3 to 4 years
