Wine Bottles on Shelf

Greetings from Jermann

Laura on 10 Oct 2016

What's your winemaking philosophy?

We take care of our vineyard in order to harvest ripe and healthy grapes, then we devote great care in all the phases of vinification in order to preserve the profumes and aromas of our wine. Our choice to promote the screwcap closure for our wines goes again in the direction of preserving the quality of what we have produced.

What's your favourite cocktail?

Mojito.

Tell us about your most memorable food and wine moment.

Last year sushi dinner with my three best friends who also work in wine business, home delivered, coupled with wines brought home from our summer holiday, spiced up with hour long chats.

You’re a castaway and you can only take three wines, one book and two luxury items with you - what are these and why?

Three Wines

Roederer 2004, Where Dreams have no end by Jermann, Amarone by Masi.

One Book

The unbearable lightness of being, by Milan Kundera.

Two Luxury Items

I am not interested in luxury items, I'd bring a sleeping bag and a lighter - the lighter could be a luxury item :-P

If you weren't working in wine, what would your 'Plan B' be?

My plan B would be to promote my region Friuli Venezia Giulia as a touristic destination.

You can cook for three guests (living or dead): who are they, and what would you cook them? Also give us a run-down of what you'll be drinking.

I'd like to invite Audrey Hepburn, Lady Diana and my friend Elda. I'd prepare oyster, stewed baby octopus in wine and tomatoes and backed scallops au gratin, and risotto with strawberry and schrimps. Again my wines would be Champagne Roederer 2004, and Vintage Tunina.
