Casablanca Valley Whites

To the west of Santiago, just north of San Antonio, lies the Casablanca Valley, Chile's first cool-climate wine producing region. The region burst onto the scene in the early 1990s, making a name for itself with young and vibrant Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs that boasted unique flavours derived from cooling Pacific breezes and maritime climates. A myriad of microclimates co-exist within the valley's vineyards, which have today expanded to contain offerings of Pinot Noir, Merlot and Carmenere alongside the whites which initially propelled Casablanca into the spotlight.
