A rare, late-harvest edition of the legendary Cuvée Frédéric Emile, from the Grands Crus Geisberg and Osterberg. Unlike the usual bone dry style, this has just a little sweetness, that rounds it out and offsets the classic, bracing acidity. Expect fabulous, mature aromas and flavours of honeycomb, pineapple, frankincense and peppercorns. Drink now-2025

Press Review
" Lime, chalk, peach and a peppery nuance on the nose. Great creamy ripeness in the middle palate; slightly sweet but thoroughly vibrant flavors of mineral dust, lime, grapefruit pith and dried apricot. Impeccably balanced riesling. This is really extraordinarily fresh and slow to evolve for a 1990 riesling. The finish leaves a coating of dusty stone on the palate. Just 14 grams/liter residual sugar here, consistent with the dry style of the house. "
Press Review
" The 1990 Riesling Frederic Emile Vendange Tardive is very ripe and overripe on the nose, clear. Very intense and mineral on the palate with a lot of tension and minerals, as well as grip and phenolics, but also finesse and freshness. Very good length and firm structure. Great grip and length, and slightly austere. "
