Alan's favourite producer of 2023 is Domaine Brusset from France.
Domaine Brusset is located in the heart of the southern Côtes-du-Rhône valley vineyards, at Cairanne. With over 70 hectares under vine, Brusset’s vineyards extend across 5 prestigious appellations: Gigondas, Cairanne, Rasteau, Côtes-du-Rhône and Ventoux, and the family-owned producer grows varietals including Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Carignan.

Alan grew up in Twickenham, and after studying Typographic Design at the London College of Printing, took a Christmas job at Oddbins in Richmond, with the intention of saving some money to travel the world. The quest never happened and Alan found himself totally engrossed in the wine trade, working for Oddbins for six years, before leaving London to manage stores in Oxford, Cheltenham and Bristol. Great Western Wine (now Great Wine Co.) beckoned, and the rest is history, as the store has gone from strength to strength under Alan's watchful eye. The décor of the shop is all Alan's handiwork - a nod to his design background - and over 40 years into his career in the wine trade, Alan is still as passionate as ever about delivering exceptional customer service to our customers and clients.

The Great Wine Co. is celebrating its 40th year in 2023. Throughout the year, we will be celebrating in the only way we know how - with great wine and with great company! Join us at our celebrations throughout 2023, and this November enjoy our staff's special selections for this anniversary year!
