Process
Mezcal Verde Momento is created using 8 year old organically grown Espadin agave, cooked above ocote, red oak and pepper tree wood. They use natural fermentation and distil in a 500L copper pot still.
People
Mezcal Verde was created by created by Mezcalero Doroteo Garcia from Mezcal Amaras and extends beyond spirit production. Mezcal Amaras pays 20% over market for raw materials and labour. The company has also developed a reforestation policy.
Place
Mezcal Verde is based in the bustling town of Tlacolula, Oaxaca, which is also renowned for its enticing street food, as well as its beautiful church Santa María de la Asunción.
