Expect notes of espresso, dark chocolate and sweet oak. On the nose there's tiramisu, cappuccino, gingerbread, raisins and sweet oak. To taste espresso, dark chocolate, raisins, vanilla, Brazil nut and sweet oak all come to play.
Process
The second release of the Harmony Collection is presented in a gift box made from repurposed and recycled materials. It uses coffee bean husks, a by-product of coffee, that would otherwise have been discarded.
People
This second release comes from The Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner, who hosted a masterclass with world renowned coffee masters to explore the process from field to cup.
Place
The Macallan distillery is located on a plateau above the river Spey in north-east Scotland, surrounding it is the 485 acre Easter Elchies Estate. The architecturally impressive, state-of-the-art distillery and visitor centre is a must see!
