" The 2018 La Cuvee was produced with a blend of 60% Xarel.lo, 30% Macabeo and 10% Parellada, aged with the lees in bottle for 40 months and sold with 4.16 grams of residual sugar. It was a cooler vintage, and the wine is fresh; the dosage was adjusted by tasting, a little lower this year. It comes from the same vineyards as Imperial but has a little more body and a little lower acidity, making it a more approachable wine. It's classical and balanced, tasty and fresh, serious and with a dry finish. The most approachable of their sparkling wines. Gramona has celebrated its 100 anniversary of the Gramona label, but they started earlier (in 1881) with other brands. Today, they have 65 hectares of organic and biodynamic vineyards certified by Demeter.... They are one of the leading quality producers of sparkling wine from Spain. Drink 2022 - 2025. "
Winemaking
45% Xarel.lo, 45% Macabeo, 10% Parellada Wine certified with the (CCPAE) seal of the Consejo Catalán de Producción Agraria y Ecológica (Catalan Council of Organic Production) We assume responsibility for each and every step involved in the winemaking process, from the vine to the bottle. The grapes are picked by hand, go onto a sorting belt, are transferred by gravity, and pressed whole bunch. This sparkling wine has been aged for more than 30 months on the lees in the silence of the cellar.
