Provence Fine Wine

Provence has experienced something of a revolution within the past few decades. Previously overlooked for its reputation as a producer of underwhelming wines, today the region has reinvented itself as a pioneer of dry, mineral-driven roses with a characteristically light pink colouring and a serious reputation that couldn’t be further from that of the sweet, cloying styles of old. Despite this recent resurgence into public popularity, Provence boasts a winemaking history of over 2,600 years, making it the oldest wine-producing region in France. Today, it continues to position itself at a helm of modern thinking and experimentation, being the only place in the world to boast a research institute dedicated solely to the production of rose and improvement of the style that has made it so famous.
