Diplomático Planas Rum is best enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in a simple preparation like the “Naked but not quite”. It can also be an excellent main ingredient for delicate cocktails like the Daiquiri.
Process
DUSA produce rums from sugar cane molasses and sugar cane honey (molasses for light rums and sugar cane honey for heavy rums). Both are first distilled in column stills with the second distillation of heavy rums taking place in copper pot stills.

Diplomático’s distillery lies at the foot of the Andes Mountains in Venezuela, surrounded by easy access to sugar refineries and an abundant supply of very pure water from Terepaima National Park which supply the distillery's five 100 metre wells.
