Process
Thie Bladnoch Alinta is matured in ex PX Sherry and Bourbon casks, combining woth peated spirit to showcase sweet floral notes, campfire smoke, raisin and almond. Alinta is unlike anything previously released by Bladnoch.
People
In 2015 the distillery was purchased by entrepreneur David Prior, and with Master Distiller, Ian MacMillan, at the helm and significant investment in the distillery facilities. Bladnoch may well be the oldest 'new' Whiskey distillery in Scotland.
Place
Bladnoch’s history dates to 1817 when John and Thomas McClelland were first granted a license to distil on their Bladnoch farm, Dumfries and Galloway - the most southerly distillery in Scotland.
